New Ministry Opportunities
Volunteer babysitters are needed to help young mothers spend quality time in fellowship once of month during the Daughters of Mary meetings. We are seeking 2-3 individuals to babysit a small group of children during each of our monthly meetings. Snacks and activities will be planned for you. The meetings are Friday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Sept. 16, Oct. 21, Nov. 18, Jan. 20, Feb. 10, March 17, and April 21. If you are interested in volunteering just two hours once this year, contact email@example.com. The Sunday 9 a.m. Mass Nursery is looking for someone to assist on a weekly basis. The nursery is available to all parishioners with children ages 1-5 (pre-K). Parents are asked to volunteer once a month. Contact Janice O’Brien at 688-9380 ext. 41.
Celebrate the season at St. Mary School’s annual “Oktoberfest” on Friday, October 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Parish Center. Presented by St. Mary School HSA, the event features music by the Auslanders, an authentic German dinner, dessert and unlimited beer, wine and snacks. 50/50 raffles and costume prizes are planned. Tickets are $25 per person and reserved seating for eight or more is available. Tickets are available at the rectory, school office or by calling Judy at 406-2490.
St. Mary’s Appoints Sacramental Coordinator
Christina Egleston has been named Sacrament Coordinator for Reconciliation and Eucharist. Christina and her family have been members of St Mary Parish since 2005. She has worked with the Family Faith Formation Office as a catechist for all grade levels, Spirit Mentor for confirmation preparation, lead catechist for Children’s Liturgy of the Word. 150th Anniversary of St. Mary’s Chapel
The 150th Anniversary of the St. Mary’s Chapel will be celebrated on Saturday, October 22. Bishop Richard Malone will celebrate Mass at 5:30 p.m. and a reception will follow.
Religious Instruction Registration for 2016-2017
There are still some openings in faith formation Fall session days/times. Register online and find more information by clicking on Family Faith Registration. Spaces are filled on a first come basis, so please submit your registration ASAP.
Teen/Adult Faith Enrichment Opportunity
– An online faith enrichment program for adults and teens begins in September. Scheduled group meetings will be held on Tuesdays and will be supplemented by virtual home study and discussion for those who cannot attend the meetings. Lessons and discussion forums are available at FaithEnrichment.org.
– Members of the Family Faith Sharing group who would like to use this study option, parishioners interested in a faith enrichment opportunity and non-parishioners who are interested in learning about Catholicism are welcome to participate.
– Visitors to the website http://faithenrichment.org/ can learn about the program and apply for a registration. Only registered users can post and participate on the forum. All postings are monitored so only posts approved by moderators will be visible to all.

Join Us for Scripture Meditation
Deepen your relationship with God and your family beginning on July 31 as two new series of Scripture Meditation begin at St. Mary’s. We are pleased to introduce Scripture Moments for Young Families on Sundays at 10:05 a.m. (following 9 a.m. Mass) and 10:45 a.m. (preceding the 11:15 a.m. Mass. Sessions are approximately 20 minutes long in the Parish Center Rooms 106/107. For young adults and older, “Where Jesus Walked Scripture Meditation” will be held on Sundays at 12:15 p.m. The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola are a compilation of meditations and prayers developed to deepen your relationship with God.
