  • Father Yetter to Celebrate 40th Anniversary


    _1HS6389Parishioners and friends are invited to a Mass of Thanksgiving on Saturday, May 18 at 4 p.m. as Father Yetter celebrates his 40th Anniversary as a priest.  Bishop Donald Trautman, retired bishop of Erie PA and former professor and friend of Fr. Yetter will serve as homilist.  A reception will follow in the Parish Center.

    Responsible for the efficient and effective administration of the financial, campus facilities and human resources of the parish.  Incumbent may also be responsible for planning, staff supervision, technology, legal concerns, purchasing, maintenance, parish school and stewardship/development.  This position will supervise several support staff positions.  Contact Father Yetter at pastor@stmaryswormville.org for more details.

    An ideal opportunity for anyone about to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, participants will deepen their friendship with God and each other.  Ryan Verity and the IMPACT Group will unwrap the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and gain a better understanding of how to use them to cope with problems, difficult situations in life, and making decisions.  Learn how to respond more fully and lovingly to God. Experiencing this Spiritual opportunity could only help to solidify becoming a fully initiated member of the Church.   • Confirmation Rehearsal and Mass Information


    Confirmation is Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 3:00pm in church.  The Most Reverend Bishop Richard Malone will be our celebrant.  Confirmation Candidates and Sponsors should arrive no later than 2:30pm.   In addition to the Sponsor, each Candidate may bring 5 guests. There is reserved seating only for the Candidate and their Sponsor.

    Confirmation Rehearsal is Sunday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m. in church.  All candidates and their sponsors are expected to attend Mass.  After Mass the Candidates and the Sponsors will remain in the new church Rehearsal will continue in the new church (for Candidates and Sponsors ONLY) from 7:30pm-8:30pm  It is required that both the Candidate and their Sponsor attend this rehearsal.  If the Sponsor is unable to attend a parent may fill in.

  • Religious Education Registration Begins May 13


    New this year – all registration forms will be completed and submitted online. No printing, no mailing, no standing in line! Review the many Religious Education Options for your child/children before beginning the online registration process. Registration of Fall/Winter programs for grades 1-10 begins online on May 13 and continues through June 15.  VBS registration is also open.  Please register her/him for religion classes to stay on track for sacraments. It’s also important to have no gaps in faith formation (Grades 1-10) to stay on track for sacraments so make sure to register.  Click here for complete details.

    Go Green and Save — Parishioners are invited to set up an online giving account.  It takes less than 5 minutes!  Click on the “ONLINE GIVING” tab on the top right of the website.  This allows you to easily set up a payment from a credit card or your bank account directly to St. Mary’s in the periodic terms you prefer.  This commitment method of support assists the parish in the planning and budgeting process.
