Go through your garage, mudroom & coat closet & don’t throw out your old shoes- bring them in to support our 8th graders! The 8th Grade class is hosting a shoe drive fundraiser to fund their class trip in May. Your gently worn, used and new shoes not only support us and this community, but communities all over the world! Shoe collection bins have been placed outside the school office and in the church vestibule for your use. Our 8th graders have a goal of 2,500 shoes so they appreciate all the support they can get!
Shoes, sneakers, cleats, hiking boots, rain boots, water shoes & sandals are acceptable, they will not accept single shoes, ice skates, rollerskates, wet or moldy shoes, or shoes with holes or tears. Click here for more info on what types of shoes are and are not acceptable to donate.
The organization they are collecting for, Funds2Orgs, works to support individuals who create micro-businesses in developing countries to combat the effects of systemic poverty and a lack of education and economic opportunity. It's a win-win!
