At our Tues. edition of school Mass led by grade 7, Fr. Joe drove home the point that words are nothing without actions to back them, even words of thanksgiving. He also had some really cool vestments on in honor of the feast of The Presentation of Mary! #feasts #thanksgiving
Today we celebrate the feast of The Presentation of Mary. This feast day is based on an ancient tradition that says Mary was taken to the temple in Jerusalem when she was 3-years-old and dedicated to God. What we celebrate on this day is the fact that God chose to dwell in Mary in a very special way. In response, Mary placed her whole self at the service of God. Every moment since your Baptism, God invites you to be open to his grace and dedicate yourself to him, as Mary did.

Our 2nd and 8th graders worked together to adopt a US Air Force Platoon this November! They collected 21 boxes of needed supplies that will be shipped overseas to help make this time of year a little bit easier for deployed servicemen and women. #service #disciplesmakeanimpact

Our 8th grade class led Mass this morning. Fr. Tom noted that the Greek word for thanksgiving is Eucharist, and as we move into Thanksgiving week and the Christmas season we should be thankful not only for the gifts we receive, but those who give them - including our Lord Jesus.
