Rev. Luke Uebler, III announced during Masses this weekend that beginning July 1, 2023, Fr. Thomas Mahoney will be the new pastor of our Family of Parishes which includes St. Mary's Church (Swormville), St. Teresa of Avila (Akron), Our Lady of Peace (Clarence), and Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Harris Hill). Fr. Tom will be coming to our Family from Infant of Prague in Cheektowaga.
Ministering together with him will be parochial vicars Fr. Art Mattulke, Fr. Walter Szczesny, and Fr. Joe Franz. Fr. Luke Uebler has been named the pastor of St. Raphael (Niagara Falls), St. Peter (Lewiston), and St. Bernards (Youngstown), also effective July 1st.
As we go through this time of transition, we keep our Prayer for Renewal in our minds and hearts. St. Mary's Faith Community is truly grateful for the faith-filled leadership and friendship that Fr. Luke has shared with us. We will miss his smile, enthusiasm, humility, and love of the Lord. At the same time, we welcome Fr. Tom and his team of parochial vicars to St. Mary's and look forward to continuing our spiritual journey with them in service to God and others.

This morning Mrs. Kotlik and Mrs. Meinhold split up to take the children on a Two-Dimensional Shape Scavenger Hunt! 🥰 The children had so much fun! ✏️ They saw Holly along the way, they might have disrupted a class or two, and Mrs. D’Angelo saved the day by finding a hexagon beehive in her office…😅😉🐝❤️

Our 8th graders have been enjoying special privileges this year since it’s their last year at SMS! Recently, they enjoyed a pizza lunch, movie, & some drinks from Tim Hortons in our Kindergarten classroom! Thank you, Mrs. Kotlik!

Hey parents! Next Wednesday is our Apex Remix fitness event! Every student will receive a t-shirt, but we need everyone to log in to choose and guarantee their student's t-shirt size. SMS Parents! Our Apex Fundraiser is underway and we need your help! This fundraiser is designed not to burden parents. Rather, Apex's powerful Share Wizard allows you to reach out to family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, business associates etc who are willing to help our school add much needed security improvements.
Other local Buffalo catholic schools have experienced great results in their Apex fundraisers by using the Share Wizard by having students get 10-20 "shares".
