Last night St. Mary's and Nativity Swim Team celebrated their season with an evening of awards and recognitions. Mr. Papke celebrated the efforts and successes of all swimmers, and our 8th graders were recognized with their parents and given a rose. Thanks to all our coaches and parents for making this a great season!

Fr. Luke and Mr. Reeds decided they would sacrifice themselves and let Mrs. D'Angelo fill the plates with whipped cream. Students returned time after time to throw more plates! They are covered in 15 cans of whipped topping! It's all for a great cause. A fun evening and all to benefit Catholic Charities.

Our St. Mary's students experience their faith through celebrating Mass together weekly.

Mrs. Whipple's 7th Grade homeroom students led the school and parishioners at Mass on Friday morning and then led the Stations of the Cross after Mass. Our SMS students are excellent public speakers and reverent in their readings/prayers.

Our advanced ELA students went on a field trip with Miss Sanderson and Mr. Polen to see the play "Not Another Butterfly" at Starry Night Theatre. Students learned about real children and teachers who did their best to find hope while living in Terezin during the Holocaust. Students talked about theme, the art of drama, and discussed the importance of sharing their love and light with the world.

St. Mary's is blessed with active parents at all grade levels who chaperone great field trips. Here are a few pictures from today's 3rd Grade field trip to the beautiful Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. Everyone really enjoyed it!

PRAY 'N PLAY is this Friday, March 24, at 6:30 p.m. in the gym! It has been FOUR YEARS since we have been able to both pray and play together! Pray 'n Play has been a tradition at St. Mary's for decades and we are so pleased to have it back. We will PRAY as Grade 5 presents a reverent Living Stations of the Cross and then the gym will be transformed for PLAY. Bring a few dollars for games, goodies, and a chance to throw a pie, or win a cake. All proceeds benefit Catholic Charities.

Fossils are brewing in middle school science! Recently, Miss Reeves' science classes studied different types of fossils. When their studies completed, they created their own fossils out of coffee and salt dough!
