Parish Mission with Karlo Broussard

What is a Parish Mission? A Parish Mission is a series of talks (presentations) that seek to bring the participant into relationship/friendship with God and thus, His grace. The most profit will be derived from the Mission by attending all of the sessions as they work together to create a complete picture. For many, this may be difficult so we encourage you to attend as many talks as possible.

Attending a Mission will enlighten your mind with God’s Truth, strengthen your will with the love of God, and develop you as a disciple of Chirst.

Why is St. Mary's having a Parish Mission? We are having a Parish Mission iin response to the discipleship surveys that were submitted by St. Mary's parishioners when we began our 3-year journey to celebrate our 175th Anniversary. Responses expressed a great desire for better understanding of our Catholic faith.

Why did we choose Karlo Broussard as our guest speaker for the Parish Mission? We chose to host Karlo Broussard, a staff apologist and speaker for Catholic Answers, because Karlo is one of the most dynamic and gifted Catholic speakers on the circuit today, communicating with precision of thought, a genuine love for God, and an enthusiasm that inspires. He travels the country giving talks on apologetics, the Bible, theology, and philosophy.

Karlo holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in theology, and is working on his PhD in philosophy. He also worked for several years with nationally known author and philosopher Fr. Robert J. Spitzer at the Magis Center.

Karlo is excited to help us all to be better informed disciples who spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
