Dear School Families and Parishioners,
With thanks to the parents, teachers, Board members, and administrators who collaborated with us to discern the appropriate path for leadership of Saint Mary School for the years ahead, we are absolutely thrilled to announce that our new principal is Mrs. Tristan D’Angelo, who will begin working at Saint Mary School effective this summer!
Mrs. D’Angelo is an experienced principal, who comes to us from Notre Dame Academy, where she served for over five years as principal overseeing two campuses. Prior to serving as a principal, Mrs. D’Angelo served as assistant principal at both Trinity Catholic Academy and Notre Dame Academy for a total of ten years. With over 22 years‘ experience in the field of education, and graduate degrees in Educational Administration, and Elementary Administration, Mrs. D’Angelo holds her NYS School Building Leader Professional Certification, in addition to her Professional Certification as a teacher of 7-12 Language Arts.
Mrs. D’Angelo was an outstanding choice for Saint Mary School not only because of her credentials, but because of her leadership qualities, spirituality, obvious love for her students, attention to curriculum details, team spirit, communication skills, and accessibility to both faculty and families. She is already working informally with us and will be onsite to meet our faculty and staff later in May.
We hope to facilitate Zoom “Meet the Principal” grade level meetings later in June, when Mrs. D’Angelo formally joins the Saint Mary School family! Because of Mrs. D’Angelo’s character and skills, we are assured of a smooth transition into our next school year, and look forward to years ahead of collegiality, and dedication to the whole child with service to the entire family in a Christ-centered environment.
Please join us in welcoming Mrs. D’Angelo, and in praying for her best interests as she accepts and assumes the call to leadership at Saint Mary School!
May God bless her, as He has blessed Saint Mary School!
